Wanda Sykes Joins Tig Notaro to Headline WICF at 1,800-seat Le Chevalier Theatre

(Boston, MA) –The Women in Comedy Festival (WICF) presents Emmy Award winner Wanda Sykes on Friday, April 20 at 8 p.m. and The New York Times best-selling author Tig Notaro on Saturday, April 21 at   7 p.m. Both comedians are slated to perform at the historic Chevalier Theatre in Medford, Massachusetts.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have the prolific and multi-talented Wanda Sykes and Tig Notaro performing at this year’s Women in Comedy Festival,” says co-producer Michelle Barbera. “Through their extensive and expansive body of work, these two women have helped to usher in fresh perspectives and a more represen-tative slate of programming in television, film, digital content, and live performance. We are proud to have them with this year to celebrate our ninth anniversary.”

The largest and fastest-growing female-focused festival in the country, WICF will be held April 19-22 at various venues in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville, Massachusetts.

Emma Willmann (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Kat Radley (staff writer on The Daily Show), Julie Goldman (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Gina Yashere (Showtime’s Skinny B*tch, HBO’s Crashing), Laurie Forster author of The Sipping Point: A Crash Course in Wine, and Kelly MacFarland (Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend) have all been added to the line-up with more comedians to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The festival will also feature panel discussions, interviews and workshops by industry professionals―all open to the public.
