In this interactive writers’ workshop, we will discuss the basic elements of story and structure and how those are evaluated in original writing samples that Disney | ABC Creative Talent Development & Inclusion (CTDI) receives for consideration. CTDI regularly connects writers, producers and directors to opportunities across the Disney | ABC Television Group. For many creatives, the first step is submitting an original writing sample (upon request), which then is “covered” by story analysts. These evaluations summarize the quality of the writing itself, as well as the potential content fit for our networks. While no original pitches are allowed in the presentation, creatives are welcome to bring their own works to personally review in the course of the workshop.
